Discover another side of Pertouli on a guided hike through forest, mountain and gorge landscapes, following one of the area’s established hiking routes towards Boudoura.

The experience begins in Pertouli village square and gradually leaves the village behind along a quiet rural track surrounded by dense fir forest. As the route climbs gently towards Boudoura, the trail reaches the edge of the Mana Gorge, opening panoramic views across the rugged mountain landscape.

This part of the route is particularly rewarding for nature lovers, with opportunities to observe birds and enjoy the changing vegetation of the mountain as you move between forest and more open terrain.

After reaching the Boudoura area, the route turns back towards Pertouli and begins its descent through the University Forest. Beneath the fir trees, the trail passes the remains associated with the British Headquarters from World War II, adding an unexpected historical element to the journey.

From here, continue downhill through the forest until the trail returns to Pertouli village, completing a circular route of approximately 5.8 kilometres.

More Than Just a Forest Hike

We expected a nice walk through the trees, but the route had much more variety than we imagined. The gorge views and the old wartime ruins made it particularly interesting. A great way to explore the area around Pertouli.

Perfect for a Half-Day Adventure

The trail was challenging enough to feel rewarding without being exhausting. We loved walking through the University Forest and learning more about the history of the area along the way. Highly recommended if you want to experience Pertouli beyond the village.
